First Day @ Preschool

So my first day at the Kindercare Learning Center was quite exciting.

Both for me and mommy.

It started like this...

I woke up a little late then usual that day. And as you all know, my mommy is a little paranoid about my eating habits, I don’t blame her but she is a little over the edge. Anyway enough about her, this blog is about me and not her. :D

So I got up at around 9a and then was forced to eat the breakfast. Even though I was full with the full bottle of milk just couple of hours ago. But who can get off with mommy. So I had that, and then mommy dressed me up in my colorful red skirt and a t-shirt. As we were heading out, papa came from office, specially to see me off on my first day. I think he wanted to make sure that mom do not fall down. He knew I will be fine.

So we met with hugs and kisses and then we reached the Kindercare. My full day in totally new environment. We reached there and I immediately got excited as I saw so many toys and balls (my hot favorite) Mom and dad were talking with the teachers / day care specialists. And suddenly dead escaped. I was still fine until mom decided to sneak out. And I was totally alone in this world with so many people around me. But this is life and I have to move on with people or without them...yeah yeah yeah...a philosophy....

So when they left I was crying like anything, and looking at the teacher with some hope that she will console me but to my amazement she was not even bothered, as opposed to the behavior I am totally aware of. Mom was peeping from outside the glass door. Crying silently, with tears rolling down her tears and dad was in his mind. Trying to console mom. I was still looking at the teacher. Ultimately I gave up. I started playing with other kids. They all welcomed me to the class and did a welcome dance, well not really. But we did make the kitchen apron. With different colors and shapes. It was a hot summer day so we went out to play, though only for some time.

In the lunch time I just had the yoghurt and no milk. In the evening I took 1.5 hours of regular nap.

In the evening Mom Dad came to pick me up and I started crying seeing them. I was only crying falsely just to tell them how much I missed them. And then after a second I ran towards them and hugged papa so tight that he was almost chocking. But I was not ready to leave any of them. I missed you papa-mommy, how much, words can’t express.

So we went out laughing dancing jumping to the car. And mom suddenly remembered something and we all went inside again and I thought, they want to leave me again, and hence started crying again. But then i was immediately picked up in dad's arms and made sure, I am not going anywhere. Love you dadda.

So that’s the moment by moment description of my first day at the day(care) school.

Let me know if you find it a little emotional. I will email papa...you know i am in gadgets totally. Btw, I have lost the iPod touch, therefore the FB updates are not happening. Waiting for the iPad 3 for Mom, then it would be mine. shhhhhhh don’t tell that to Mommy....

Hello, it's been long since I wrote on this post...
I have been busy playing full time in the day care, touring another part of the world and trying to read, speak and scribble....yes already...i know....but this is fast world and i have to catch up...
So yeah...even I don’t remember what happened in last few months, but yes my India trip is worth mentioning....

So for the records 34 inches tall approximately a month ago and weighed 24 pounds... Yes I did lose some weight and now I am almost back to normal.
So in this post I am going to add some points and show them with the pics...
Pre India Trip:
I started going to the day care.

I started running
I barely crawl now.
I can run up to the stair case without hand holding.
I can even run down.
I have started eating roti and rice.
I have lots of teeth now.
I love dancing on dhinchak dhinchak, yes, you got it, I like dhinchak songs.
I know how to make out things and if I need one, I can get that by actions.
One afternoon, I threw my Lego block out the balcony, then I ran out to papa, and showed him by the way of actions, when he came to the balcomy, I showed, what went down, then we both went down to get the blocks.
I still love to play with the balls of all sizes.
and I absolutely adore balloons.

today I went to the day care as a trial day.

It was a home day care to the nearby house and they had a dog too…Ceaser.

I enjoyed there a lot…but listen to this…as soon as Mom and dad stepped out, they started crying and I was there having fun with the day care’s toys and another mate.

I am one today.

Cant believe it, how this last year has gone by.

Lets first start by update on my last three months.

I can run
I can walk
I can talk
I can speak(blabber)
I can convey my feelings.
I can cry(very loudly).
I can not stand people screaming in front of me.
I can sleep by myself.
I can sleep alone in crib.
I can climb up the sofa
I can climb up the stairs.
I can climb down sofa
I am still trying to climb down stairs.
I simply adore laptop.
I love ipod touch
I love dad’s cell phone.
and I miss mom’s cell phone
I can chew on anything which is rubber.
I got a haircut.
I am tall with 32 inches.
I am maintaining on my weight.
I do not eat finger food
I do not want to eat sweet.
I am on my mom’s side, I loooooooooooove curd with salt and masala in it.
I am having khichdi, fruit pulp and daliya now.

first b'day prep

Yay, so I am about to turn one and the preparations are on.
Today mom and dad, went to look out the party hall. It was a YMCA hall. the location of the office is @ 45 East st, but the party hall is at this location (42.228104,-71.46953). Yeah cant believe, its not yet marked. But thankfully its on Map :D

Well, The party is just next week and dad and mom haven't got a chance to work in this yet. Probably they will be wrapped up by this weekend.

SO by now, most of you know that the theme is the Rainbow. And everything should be in rainbow colors or at least look like rainbow. So last weekend, dad made some rainbow mobile, much like you have a flag on a steamer, like this .
And mommy made some posters. They are very pretty. If mom would have used her imagination in school, she would have been a great artist instead of sitting in front of a dumb computer these days.

Anyway, so yeah, the hall, food, decoration and the party people. All are ready.
Everybody is suggested to be there in solid rainbow color only.

Cant wait to see all of you on 24th April @ the Geo location mentioned above.

yay...so I am 9 months old today

For the record - vital stats first!!!
Height is 30.5 cms and I fall in 79 percentile and my weight is 20 pounds which is among the 75 percentile.

My schedule, I am with my baby sitter for past few months. SO my day starts at 9a, when she is about to arrive. I generally help mom while she cooks, I play with the peels of the vegetables which she cooks and also the utensils.

I love to be in the kitchen when somebody is there, as I simply cant miss the charm of the dustbin, the doormat, the door stopper and lastly the shoes.

So this much while she arrives. First thing she does is feed me with cereal. And then bath me and clean off the mess I created when I eat (picture).

After taking shower she dresses me and soon after I drink milk, I sleep, for good 2 hours. When I wake up, its the time for some fruit pulp, generally Apple (appy), Banana(bana) recently I started with plum.

After eating this I play around and watch some boring but colorful DVD from Baby Einstein, by the time all this happen its time for dadda to come home, and then we leave to drop the baby sitter aunty to train station.

While in the car, I sleep, most of the time and then I stay in the car seat till the time I am up again. This time when I wake up, mommy is back home from work too. and I play with her and dadda, while she is preparing her meal. After the meal they play with me, I play with dadda, the pakko (kaavya ko pakdo, catch me)game, in which both of us crawl and dadda tries to catch me. and then I try to cath him. turn by turn. Lately I have also started playing soccer with him. I like kicking the ball a lot. In fact last time when I was trying to kick a ball I was standing with the support of the table with one hand, and I almost fall. But managed to hold the table again.

So by 10.30p my battery is down and after taking the last meal as milk, I sleep for next 8-10 hrs.

Now some of the activities I have started. I -
•    stand with the support.
•    climb up the bed.
•    climb down the bed.
•    walk along the bed and all the furniture in the house.
•    crawl faster then I used to.
•    talk with tata, mama and papa language.
•    reciprocate very well.
•    play throw ball.
•    play with the trash.
•    eat/chew slippers/shoes.
•    play with the CDs and DVDs by dropping off the entertainment table.
•    love the laptop and want all the keys of it out in my hands.
•    so much love the laptop, that if its not open I stand and sit on it.
•    love dadda's ipod touch, and want to get hold of it. (don’t tell anyone, but he has already replaced it under manufacturer's warranty)
•    pick up small toys and eat(lick) them.
•    am done with the milk or food, I shake my hand and head to say no, I don't want it anymore.
•    love playing peek-a-boo, even with any xyz banda....the other day I was at the Comcast service center, and this lady started playing with me and I started enjoying...

I got my ears pierced today

Yes, Mom and dad were brave enough to get my ears pierced. I was so happy after that.

Okay so the story is like this.

Mom(m) asked Dad(s), hey it Claire’ across, shall we get her ears pierced, S said, lets ask bua first, Bua said it should be in the center, so that I don't end up doing multiple piercing. Thanks bua for the advice. Mom was still not happy, as it would hurt me, but she don't know that i am dadda’s daughter too. I do not get hurt by these small things.

But i must say, that this guy at Claire’ was pretty experienced, he cleaned my ears, ear lobes with some antiseptic liquid, and then also cleaned the gun, before using it. Then he put the mark on my ears in consultation with mom and then the game started, mom lured me from outside and dad from inside, i was in dad’s arms all the time. It was only dad, in whose arms i feel comfortable. I was talking with dadda and bam…one ear gone…these guys dint even care to tell me. As i was crying and mostly because of empty stomach, I just had few sips and bam, another gone. These guys are after my life…i tell you..but i have prettier then ever…(blushing).

After the piercing , i had whole bottle of milk in one go and also slept quickly…so yes…i have pierced ears.

I am 6 months this month

Yay…so i have crossed the 6 month mark on 15th. I have now very less chances of getting SIDS (officially).

Anyway, activities so far-

I do furr and lots of furrrrrrrr
I make faces, while laughing and crying.
I do lot of nautanki(drama) while having cereal or milk.
I have already fallen from the bed couple of times.
I love to bath, and try to catch running water.
I crawl like a caterpillar, roll like peapod.
I like to eat what you are eating and sometime i have ice-cream, curd, juices and soda.
I recently also chew dad’s iPod Touch and then he ended up replacing it, thank god it was under warranty.
I can sit now, without any help for minutes.
I play with any toy, by banging my hand on to it, actually this is my favorite action, while drinking milk or while sitting, but what do i do, dad and mom always bring such toys, where they make noise when i bang them.
I can transfer the toys from one hand to another.
I also clap with hands, when in mood, and not for others.
I love to pose for dadda’s camera.
Putting feet in my mouth is an indication that give me some toy, or soon I will eat 1 finger from my feet.
I am constantly on the lookout of what’s hanging and from above while I crawl, and try to pull, yesterday, i pulled dadda’s camera, I just wanted to chew the strap, and dad thought i want his d-slr.

4th Month

Yes, so finally the wait is over...
The first things first. I got my 4th month shot this time at the Doc's visit, and guess what, I am a brave Dadda's girl who showed pain and fear the door. The pain was just like a tiny pinch, and the next moment I was alright.

So, yeah, back to to blog post. I have started laugh a lot, on dadda's silly things, when he lifts me up in the air, when he makes funny noises and when he plays with me and sometimes by myself. Yeah I am silly girl too. But I am loving it every moment.

I have started rolling and turning around. It takes me a fraction of a minute to turn around. So I cry when I am on my tummy, as there is only some time I can be on my tummy. It takes me a second to turn around. You put me back on my back and will turn within a sec. Well, that's, just one of the games I play.

I try now and then to stand up on my feet…yeah…I haven’t started sitting yet, but want to stand.

And most importantly, I was in the mall for 2 straight hours, and I was not hungry, but the moment I was in the car, I started crying, for obvious reasons. Dadda take notice. :)

One of the checks done, at this doc’s visit was my height. So I am now almost 27 inches tall and I fall in the 100 percentile. I am among the tallest kids in my age.

I make lot of squealing sounds these days. I respond always when dadda calls me and I respond sometimes when mamma calls me. Well, I know who is important.

I follow everybody far or near, with my eyes rolling from left to right and right to left.

I also try to catch and hold lot of things. And want to put everything in my hand.

I know I am missing lot of stuff…will try to note down from this month onwards…so that easier to write.

Third Month

Yea I know its been 2 weeks over and it was not even in my drafts. I was just being lazy.

Well, major updates for this month are, I want to add few pics for every note, here:

Trying to roll over, not yet, partially there. (ok dad, helped in this)
Want to hold everything in my tiny hands. Yes and granny also made me hold my milk bottle.

Whatever I hold, has to go in my mouth. Whatever it is, my fingers, my thumb, my bib, dad’s hairy hand and his hair as well, mom’s smooth hand.

I take milk in installments, as its said, eat less and eat more number of times, helps you in good digestion and staying slim and trim.

As soon as I finish my milk i rebel prominently, previously I used to just push it out of my mouth with the tongue.

As I am growing, I have started throwing more tantrums. Just wanted to warn mom and dad, I am not as easy, as it looked in first three months.
I am more and lot excited in the nights. (Youtube links)
I want to sit more often these days and lately I want to stand too. And I know its not good for my young legs, just wanted to let you know, I know before hand all the stuff, you want me to do later.

No no, its not about the dreams. Its about the summers. This summer is not kind enough, and I want to enjoy as much as I can. So I went to Cape Ann, Rockport, MA for my day outing.

I am two months today

Yes I am a bit late in doing my second month post, I was busy with my granny in having too much fun, and getting spa and massage treatment at home. I also got my first dose of shots this month.

So I smile back to people who smile at me, and don't give a reaction other then that. Also, I make lots of cooing and aahs and oohs. While sleeping and during the sleep. I also have a regular eye to eye contact, and try to follow who left me behind. I love the most When i am on my tummy. I lift my head up and try to take a look at the world with the different angle like this.

I also like a lot when dadda holds me like this and tries to hang me to the ceiling.

I also like when I sit in different positions.

With the support, though this is not recommended, and i sit like this only momentarily.

This is one of my favorite positions.

and this has come out to be the most loving one. Since my neck is still disowned by my spinal cord, I cant sit like this for long and tend to slide either way.

I sleep best and tight when I am swaddled.

And I cry when I am hungry and people still want to play with me.

I love when my granny baths me, in fact I love it so much that I sleep.

I am mommy’s little monster

i am a month old today

I copied this idea from one of the blogs, my dad reads. I plan to write what I do and what not, like a timeline, every month for first couple of years...
So here I am today turned a month old. My routine is not much different than my first day in this world, but yes some things have certainly changed.
Let’s start with the daily routine.
I generally sleep in the day, when everybody is awake. I wake up first at 6-6.30am, get the first feed and then off to sleep for 2 hrs, then depending upon how hungry I am I wake up by 8-8.30a I again take some feed and a bit of lap time and back to sleep. This time I sleep for little extra time, say 3 hrs, in the mean time I get my massage and spa treatment. I generally enjoy my massage more than spa. If the massage is delayed for a bit and I am awake empty stomach, then see my tantrums. I am totally out of control. And till my stomach is filled back, I keep on crying(crocodile tears). So after my massage and spa and milk, I sleep the best. When I sleep, other people do their work and that too quietly. I forgot to mention, milk works as a laxative to me. The moment I drink, I have to poop. Then after the break, I will continue to have the rest of the milk. So I wake up every 3 hours take a feed, poop and sleep. I am generally in a good mood if my stomach is full and I will play with you.
My favorite pass time these days is holding and pulling my hair and since I don't know what is causing pain, I will keep on screaming, and holding the hair at the same time. I do this with my ears as well.
I am also expert in winning smiles. I was at the passport office and the lady officer left her work and came by me and spent 15 minutes with mommy and granny. And I was smiling back to her. The moment I was out and in my car seat I started crying. Ain't I smart ;-)
These days I am excited as well as sad. My one granny is going and another granny is coming.

Hello, World.
My name is Kaavya, and I am 4 days old.
I am very pretty and I have long hair and lips like my mamma and nose and face cut like dadda (that's what everybody says ;-) ).
Dad says I should have brains like nana and dada.
These days, since I have come I just have 3 things to do.
